Strap yourselves in and get ready to explore three poems by poet and writer Roger Patulny (who works as a lecturer at Wollongong University by day), which each tell a unique story: isolation in Covid, being a single parent, and, the sheer romping boy-like enthusiasm of a spaceman orbiting the earth, reciting a poem of love and longing.

In this innovative new radio series, Roger’s work is critiqued by highly respected Australian performer Paul Capsis. Paul takes the opportunity to muse on the time of COVID and the artful, textured and visceral way that Roger captures the small moments that make up the big events of his poems.

This episode is one of many truly personal, exploratory and creative productions that have gained New Voices its nomination into this year’s Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Awards. To hear this episode, and many more, click here.
