2RPH appoints new staff

Fri, 5 October 2018

The 2RPH team has expanded. Two new starters will be joining the team in September and October to work specifically in continuing to develop the station’s programs, and to assist in being a key liaison point for volunteers and the public.

Catherine Maitland joins 2RPH from the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability. She will be a key support in the station’s engagement of members, volunteers and the community. Her experience in coordinating training, preparing policies and procedures, and her knowledge in the disability sector will be invaluable to 2RPH. Catherine will begin her role in September.

Chris Yates will be taking the lead role on supporting the development of 2RPH’s programs. Drawing on his experience in community radio from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), he will be at the station on Mondays to: further develop partnerships with 2RPH; liaise with volunteer presenters regularly to deliver new and existing programs; and be an in-house contact with other RPH stations around Australia to foster sharing of programs. Chris will be starting at the station on Monday the 8th October.

These appointments come at an important time in the continual evolution of 2RPH as we work towards becoming Australia’s best radio reading service. Please make welcome our new team members.
