Christmas Party 2018

This year's 2RPH Christmas Party on Sunday 25 November was one to remember. Held at the Glebe Town Hall, the lunchtime event saw a gathering of over 100 Members, volunteers and station friends celebrate the end of another year and importantly, the community that has grown in support of the organisation. Two new elements were added to this year's event: awards presentations and volunteer entertainment.

Two awards presentations celebrating the contributions of volunteers took place, with 15 volunteers recognised by their peers with the Generosity of Spirit Volunteer Awards and 12 volunteers honoured for their more than 20 years of service to the station. The entertainment followed the awards, with three solo performances by volunteers Jo Van Kool, Michael Hogan and Ken Bock sharing their talents with the crowd. To finish, the 2RPH Christmas Choir took to the stage.

Led by Dimitry Moraitis, the choir sang a medley of four Christmas carols, inviting the audience to join them in one big sing-a-long for the final two songs: Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. It was a beautiful day honouring the people who come from all walks of life to support 2RPH.
