Ken Cappie-Wood

Ken spent the first half of his career in chartered accounting where he worked for Coopers & Lybrand, a major international firm, in Sydney, London, Porto and Gibraltar. The second half of his career was spent in Sydney initially working for UBS, a major Swiss bank, providing investment advice to his clients in the areas of stocks, bonds and other areas and then setting up and running the Sydney office of Evans and Partners, a Melbourne-based investment advisory firm, where he advised his many clients until he retired in 2016.

Ken’s first involvement with radio was as a university student where he had a regular music program on Radio UNE in Armidale. Upon retiring from work 50 years later, he became a volunteer announcer at Radio 2RPH with a regular weekly news reading slot and also presented a weekly investment program, The Savvy Investor, for the station. Ken’s retirement consists of spending time with his 4 young grand-daughters, sitting on investment committees for various not-for-profit organisations, mentoring, reading, golfing and walking in Europe.
