Born without a left arm or left lung, Tim Matthews spent much of his early life at the Royal Children’s Hospital, having been born with a condition known as ‘Exompholas’. But from the beginning Tim displayed the true grit and determination that would forge his career as an elite athlete. From childhood he loved sport and played anything and everything he could; with tennis, baseball and golf being among his favourites. In this episode of Ablequest, Marni Roper speaks to Tim about the experiences and support networks that allowed him to become a triple Paralympic gold medallist.
This episode of Ablequest is broadcast on 5/11/21 at 3.00pm, and will repeat 8/11 at 3.00pm
