Congratulations To John Martin OAM

Congratulations to 2RPH broadcaster and board member John Martin for being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to radio broadcasting in the Australia Day Honours list.
John is delighted to receive the honour for his work, both as a volunteer and manager in community, public and commercial broadcasting organisations over more than forty years.
“It’s wonderful to receive such recognition for doing what I have always enormously enjoyed and which has given me the opportunity to work with so many creative people in many different teams and organisations”, he said.
Today the sector is thriving, with over 450 community-owned radio stations throughout Australia - a tribute to the dedication, commitment, and talents of tens of thousands of volunteers. “I really enjoy still being involved in that through 2RPH” John said.
