2RPH COVID-19 update for listeners

Wed, 1 April 2020

As a community station with nearly 200 volunteers, 2RPH is fully committed to: keeping the broadcast on the air; minimising the risk of transmission of the virus among volunteers and staff; and enabling our volunteers to contribute to the community at this time through the use of new technologies, amended schedules and ways of working.

The service is still broadcasting from its Glebe studios, so in order to minimise the risk of infection changes have been made to the program.

Programming changes as of March 27:

  • Newspaper programs will be presented by two people, instead of three. This is to minimise the number of people together in close quarters.
  • To ensure the health and safety of our volunteers, we are reducing programs by cancelling The Australian and the Newcastle Herald.
  • From Monday 30 March, listeners will be able to hear the front pages of The Australian and the Newcastle Herald in the extended Sydney Morning Herald and the Daily Telegraph program.

The revised schedule has been listed on the 2RPH website here. We may need make further alterations to the program. If so, we will update you in various ways, so keep listening. We also value your feedback, so please email info@2rph.org.au if you'd like to share your comments with us.
