Radio 2RPH is committed to providing well read radio accessible to people who are blind, have low vision or other forms of print disability. We are also committed to meeting the information and entertainment needs of our local audiences, in particular older listeners.

We are intent on providing news, information and entertainment around the clock, working hard to support everyone’s right to access a huge range of informative and enjoyable publications.

Every day, 7 days a week, our team of more than 180 volunteers and four staff members work hard to ensure the printed word is read clearly and in full.

We would greatly appreciate your support in helping to cover our 2025/26 operating costs (upwards of $1m), which includes almost $400,000 a year just to operate transmitter sites in Sydney, Wollongong, and Newcastle.

Financial support from our community of listeners is vital because government grants only cover a third of our costs which also include:

  • Equipment maintenance and upgrade
  • Subscriptions for newspapers and magazines
  • Station administration, licence fees and insurance
  • Training for volunteers and staff.
