Visit by Governor of NSW 2019
On Wednesday, October 30, 2RPH welcomed the new Governor of NSW Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales for her first visit to the station. The Governor and her husband Mr Dennis Wilson are Joint Vice Regal Patrons to 2RPH. Mr Wilson was unable to attend the visit. The Governor was met by Deputy Chair Maria Issaris and General Manager Sancha Donald before going straight into Studio 1 for her interview with volunteer presenter Elaine Wziontek. Following her interview, she came into the main area where she met The Australian team preparing the newspaper for the program. Volunteer announcer Janet Collingwood explained the cutting process to the Governor before inviting her into the studio to have a go at reading the news for 2RPH listeners.
