Brian Ollerton has worked in a variety of industries since beginning his career in 1962. For over 20 years he worked around the world in international banking with Barclays Bank. He finished his career at Barclays in Sydney as Regional Manager of Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific for INTERPAYMENT, a joint venture of Barclays Bank and BankAmerica.
Brian then moved into a different environment as NSW Business Development Manager for QM Technologies Pty Ltd (QM), a printing manufacturer of high value security products i.e cheques and cheque books, and bank statements. This company enabled major Australian financial institutions (banks, building societies, credit unions etc) to outsource their printing requirements.
Brian also worked for Leigh Mardon Pty Ltd, a competitor company to QM as National Sales Manager, Security Products Division. He finished his working life at Computershare in Sydney in a national sales role and retired in 2008.
In 2006, Brian was elected to the Board of Concord Golf Club. He was Vice President for five years and President for four years before stepping down in September 2016.
As a significant contributor to the community, Brian serves on The Golf NSW Advisory Committee, volunteers for Meals on Wheels in Canada Bay and is a reader for 2RPH. He regularly reads for The Australian newspaper on Tuesdays and helps with vacant shifts on a regular basis.
